Creative Designer

Job Overview

The Creative Designer is responsible for translating client needs into designs with high visual impact, delivering creative concepts at consistently high standards, and communicating ideas and messages in an effective and captivating way.

Responsibilities  

  1. Take concepts from ideation to execution based on client briefs
  2. Design work and develop graphics, animations, and artwork
  3. Provide creative solutions internally and to clients
  4. Idea generation for creative concepts and campaigns
  5. Research, understand and evangelise the needs of each client
  6. Achieve accuracy and attention to detail on a variety of projects simultaneously throughout the creative and production process
  7. Review final layouts and outputs
  8. Recommend ongoing improvements
  9. Team collaboration
  10. Liaise directly with Marketing Executives to understand client briefs and tasks details
  11. Lead /coordinate projects as needed
  12. Client/pitch presentations
  13. Composition of portfolio entries and case studies
  14. Coordinate with outside suppliers such as printers
  15. Keep up with the latest design trends
  16. Contribute to building Redorange’s brand presence
  17. Meet deadlines and manage timeframes
  18. Work on multiple projects at the same time
  19. Other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or a related field., with demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.

Experience

At least previous experience working in design studios or advertising.

Skills

Technical

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programmes (required) and other design software
  • Knowledge of design principles and technical processes such as outputs, preparation of print files, proper formats for digital, print, and any other required medium
  • Digital/Website Design (UX/UI)
  • Typography
  • Animation 
  • Knowledge of HTML 
  • A strong working knowledge of online and offline design, brand development, and the creative process

Supervision

The Creative Designer collaborates closely with members of the design and marketing team, whilst able to work independently on day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision. 

Accountability

The Creative Designer reports to the Head of Studio
